Part Cash Part Annuity

Part Cash Part Annuity
Sometime in college, Jane Ehemann decided teaching geography was the best thing for her. During her 25-year career, Jane taught graduate and undergraduate courses that covered topics like world, urban and settlement geographies, conservation of natural resources, and geography of sacred landscapes. Like most geographers, she loves to travel and has visited almost 70 countries, traveled by freighter to South America three times, and conducted research in Northern Ireland and England.

When Jane retired in 2003, and at her request, the SU Foundation helped her find a way she could give back to the department and students she so loves and still receive an income for herself. Her charitable combination of cash, a charitable gift annuity, and naming the foundation as a beneficiary in her will is a triple win for Jane, the geography/earth science department, and SU students. The Dr. Jane H. Ehemann Fund assists students and faculty in the Department of Geography/Earth Science. Through the Dr. Jane H. Ehemann Scholarship Fund, Jane has the joy of meeting students her scholarship supports.
